According to a company statement, the former manager will not be involved in the day-to-day operations of the clubs but will support the sporting directors at each one and help develop new coaches. His contract will begin on January 1, 2025.

In the announcement, Klopp expressed his enthusiasm and readiness to take on the new role of developing new talents for Red Bull teams. His last position at Liverpool lasted nine years, and one reason he left the club was the weariness he accumulated in the role.

“I want to develop, improve, and support the incredible football talent we have at our disposal. I see my role primarily as a mentor for the coaches and management of the clubs. I’m part of an organization that is unique, innovative, and forward-thinking,” he stated.

In total, Red Bull owns five clubs worldwide, the main one being RB Leipzig in Germany, which frequently competes in major European tournaments, including the Champions League. In addition to Leipzig, the company also owns Bragantino in Brazil, RB Salzburg and FC Liefering in Austria, and New York RB in the United States.
