Valladolid fans demand Ronaldo after relegation in Spain: ‘Where is he?’

Managed by Ronaldo Nazário, Real Valladolid was relegated again in the Spanish Championship. The team’s relegation was decreed this Thursday (4/24), with a 5-1 defeat to Real Betis, in the 33rd round of La Liga. On social media, fans expressed dissatisfaction with the management of the former owner of Cruzeiro.

Valladolid is at the bottom of the competition, with 16 points – four wins, four draws and 25 losses. With five rounds remaining in the championship, the team no longer has a chance of catching up with Alavés, the first team outside the relegation zone, which has a total of 34.

Under the command of Ronaldo, who has been in charge of the club since 2018, Valladolid has already been relegated in three seasons: 2020/21, 2022/23 and 2024/25. This back and forth between the first and second division in Spain has generated strong criticism of the five-time world champion, as demonstrated by fans on social media this Thursday.

“Pain and forgiveness are nothing. You only have one option. Walk out the door and leave (the club), that’s it. Remember that on your resume, in gold letters, you will write that you were responsible for the worst season in history”, said a fan on X (formerly Twitter).

Others mentioned Ronaldo directly:

“Where is this guy who doesn’t show his face?” “Ronaldo, go now. You are the worst president Valladolid has ever had in its entire history. You let us die and that is unforgivable. Go away and never come back.”
