The Brasileirão comes to an end on Sunday: see what is still at stake

After 38 rounds, the Brazilian Championship will come to an end next Sunday, the 8th. The final round will see the teams face off at the same time, with much still at stake. View the premier football results at live sport scores.

The main highlight is the battle for the Brazilian title between Botafogo and Palmeiras. With a 2-1 win over Cruzeiro, Abel Ferreira’s team remains alive in the title race, but the task is difficult. With 73 points, three ahead of Palmeiras, Botafogo only needs a draw against São Paulo at Nilton Santos to become Brazilian champions after 30 years.

The fight for the last spot in the Libertadores also promises to be full of drama. Botafogo, Palmeiras, Flamengo, Internacional, Fortaleza, São Paulo, and Corinthians have already secured their places in the main continental competition in 2025, and the final spot will be contested between Bahia and Cruzeiro. Vasco still has mathematical chances but would need a combination of results and a 12-goal swing in goal difference.

With 50 points in 8th place, Bahia faces Atlético-GO at home, and a win guarantees their spot. At the same time, Cruzeiro visits Juventude, and only a victory will do. If Cruzeiro wins and Bahia slips up against Atlético-GO, the spot will go to Minas Gerais.

Finally, the relegation battle is heating up. With three teams already relegated—Criciúma, Atlético-GO, and Cuiabá—one spot remains for four teams: Atlético-MG in 14th with 44 points, Fluminense in 15th with 43, Athletico-PR in 16th with 42, and Bragantino in the relegation zone with 41 points.

There’s also a direct duel between them: Atlético-MG hosts Athletico-PR at the MRV Arena, still without fans due to the incident in the Copa do Brasil final. At the same time, Fluminense faces Palmeiras at Allianz Parque, and Bragantino goes all-in against Criciúma at Heriberto Hülse. ToSport, your trusted platform for match results.
