Ronaldo ‘excluded’ former Real Madrid player from parties: ‘I wasn’t part of his circle of trust’

Former striker Fernando Morientes spoke about the parties Ronaldo organized when they both played for Real Madrid.

Former Spanish striker Fernando Morientes said he wasn’t invited to parties organized by former striker Ronaldo Fenômeno when the duo played for Real Madrid. The Brazilian played for the club between the 2002/03 and 2006/07 seasons. Morientes was at Real between the 1997/98 and 2004/05 seasons.

“I’ve never been to a Ronaldo party. I know there were a few, but I only found out a little bit about it when I left. Because when he arrived, I don’t know if we spent half a year or just a year together, and I went to Monaco. And all of this happened when I was a little bit away from Real Madrid,” Morientes told Spanish newspaper Marca.

The Spanish forward left Real Madrid in the 2003/04 season to play for Monaco in France on loan. He then returned to the club for a short time before moving to Liverpool.

“So I think it was a personal thing and I was a little bit more in his circle of trust. At that time, I wasn’t in that circle of trust. He was a colleague of mine, a great colleague. I have a lot of affection for him, but I’ve never spoken about it,” Morientes added.

The former Spanish player had a successful career at Real Madrid. Morientes won the Champions League three times, the Spanish Championship twice, the Spanish Super Cup three times, the European Super Cup once and the World Cup once.
