
Grêmio wins 1-0 in Porto Alegre and distances itself from the Z4; Santos suffers fourth consecutive defeat in Série A.
Santos continues in a delicate situation this season. In a direct confrontation against the relegation zone, Peixe lost 1-0 to Grêmio this Sunday (4/5) at Arena do Grêmio, in the seventh round of the Brazilian Championship.
Cristian Oliveira scored the decisive goal in Porto Alegre (RS). With the result, Alvinegro Praiano reached four games without a win this season (three in the league and one in the Copa do Brasil).
The team is in 19th place, with only four points, three less than Fortaleza, the first outside the Z4. Tricolor, on the other hand, won again after seven games and jumped to 12th, with eight. Santos will return to the field next Monday, May 12, against Ceará, at home, for the eighth round of Série A.
Grêmio, in turn, is focused on the South American. The team will visit Club Atlético Grau on Wednesday, for the fourth round of the group stage. The next challenge in the Brasileirão will be on Saturday, against Red Bull Bragantino, in Porto Alegre.
