Brazil's national team will use a new color for its 2026 World Cup uniform, says website

A website specializing in leaked soccer jerseys revealed that Brazil will break with tradition during the World Cup.

The Brazilian national team will abandon the blue jersey for the 2026 World Cup. According to Footy Headlines, a website specializing in leaked uniforms, Brazil will use an ‘unprecedented’ color. Since the first formations of the Brazilian team, the colors yellow, green, blue and white have been the only ones used, with the exception of the goalkeeper’s jersey, which has sometimes been given shades such as black, for example.

The main jersey is the ‘yellow’ and the predominant color of the away jersey varies between blue and white. For the next World Cup, however, Nike, the supplier of sports equipment for the national team, will introduce a color never before used in the away uniform. According to the website, the new color has not yet been revealed, but the traditional blue will not be used.

The next World Cup will be co-hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico from June 11 to July 19, 2026. The final will be played at MetLife Stadium, just outside New York City. A total of 48 teams will be divided into 12 groups. The top two teams from each group and the eight best third-placed teams will advance to the knockout stage.
