After being relegated, two coaches said 'no' to Athletico-PR.

Life at Athletico-PR hasn’t been easy. After being relegated in the final round of the Brazilian Championship during their centenary year, the Paraná club is now facing difficulties in assembling the squad that will compete in Serie B in 2025. Find the top football results at football live scores.

Throughout this week, the club’s management approached coaches Thiago Carpini, from Vitória, and Pedro Caixinha, who was dismissed by Bragantino during the Brasileirão and is currently without a club, but both declined the offers.

Carpini recently renewed his contract with Vitória after a successful 2024 season. After being dismissed by São Paulo, he took over the Bahia club and not only saved them from relegation but also placed them in 11th position, securing a spot in the Copa Sudamericana next year. Caixinha, on the other hand, has been without a club since his dismissal at the end of October but still has market value and has already received inquiries from teams in the first division.

The search for a new coach is directly in the hands of Athletico’s president, Mario Celso Petraglia, who is consulting trusted people. After the relegation, the club fired coach Lucho González and technical sports director Paulo Autuori. According to a statement issued by the board, “the club aims to restructure the Football Department for 2025.” Be ahead of the game with BB Score.
