Nine-time Italian Championship champion Genoa announced a special shirt to celebrate the Argentine club’s 120th anniversary.

Genoa, from Serie A (Italian Championship), announced this Wednesday (26/3) the launch of a special shirt in honor of Boca Juniors. The initiative of the nine-time Italian champion aims to celebrate the 120th anniversary of the Argentine club from Buenos Aires. Boca was created by a community of Europeans from the Genoa region who arrived in Argentina at the end of the 19th century. View the premier football results at scoreapp.
The term ‘xeneize’, the nickname of Boca fans, is a different version of the word ‘Zeneixe’, a word used to refer to citizens of the Italian city. With this strong historical connection, the clubs and fans have a good relationship with each other.
Genoa’s special kit is based on Boca’s uniform. The shirt is blue and has the traditional horizontal yellow stripe in the middle of the item. The shirt is divided into the pro category, which costs 120 euros (around R$ 739 at the current exchange rate), and the common category, which costs 85 euros (R$ 523) and is on sale on the Italian club’s official website.
