The number 10 and captain of Santos, the player made several complaints to Davi de Oliveira Lacerda, referee of the match between Peixe and Botafogo
The voice actor Gustavo Machado revealed details of complaints made by the attacking midfielder Neymar, from Santos, to the referee of the match between Peixe and Botafogo this Sunday (1/6), for the Série A of the Brazilian Championship. The teams faced each other at Vila Belmiro, in Santos, for the 11th round of the competition. The visitors won 1-0. During the match, the number 10 and captain of the home team contested several decisions made by referee Davi de Oliveira Lacerda. In the first half’s injury time, Neymar committed a foul on a Botafogo player and was cautioned with a yellow card.
“I just touched him, f*ck. I just touched him f*ck. (Go) f*ck yourself,” he complained. After the end of the first half, the player went to talk to the refereeing team. “Who asked you to give the card there? When it’s the attacker, you don’t respect them, right? You guys are really bad. You’re horrible. I can give my opinion,” he said.
The referee in charge of the match, Davi responded to the player’s statements and asked him to stop. “No, please. That’s already showing disrespect, man. Let me go, please,” he retorted. In the second half, Neymar was grabbed by an opponent and demanded, emphatically, that the player be punished. “Give me a yellow card too, damn it. You piece of shit (Davi),” he said. At 31 minutes into the second half, the Peixe’s number 10 pushed the ball into the goal with his hand and was warned with the second yellow card and sent off. “I went to protect him. It’s really bad (Davi). Horrible,” he protested. A few minutes later, Botafogo forward Artur scored the only goal of the match.
A product of Santos’ youth system, Neymar returned to the club at the end of January this year. In his second stint with the team, he played 12 (official) games for the team, scored three goals and provided three assists. The star’s contract with the club ends on June 30 of this year and there is no confirmation about the player’s future. With the red card in Sunday’s game, the athlete will serve a suspension in the black and white match against Fortaleza, on Thursday (12/6), at Castelão, for the 12th round of the Brazilian Championship.
After the match against the black and white team from Rio de Janeiro, Neymar used social media to apologize for his expulsion. “I want to apologize to my teammates and also to the fans. I made a mistake, forgive me,” he wrote.
