In an exciting clash in the 23rd round of the Campeonato Brasileiro, Criciúma and Vasco drew 2-2 on Sunday night (August 18) at the Heriberto Hülse Stadium. Congolese forward Bolasie was once again the standout of the match, scoring both goals for the Santa Catarina team, including one in stoppage time. David and Rayan scored for the Rio team.

Criciúma took the lead early in the game, with Bolasie finishing a play he had started himself in the 6th minute. However, Vasco responded well to the setback and managed to turn the game around before halftime, with a stunning long-range shot by David in the 36th minute and a goal by Rayan, capitalizing on a play by Piton, in the 49th minute.

In the second half, Vasco had a chance to extend their lead with Léo missing a clear goal-scoring opportunity just 4 minutes into the period, leaving the game open. Criciúma, which seemed to have lost its offensive rhythm, found strength in the final minutes. In stoppage time, Bolasie struck again to secure the equalizer for the home team.

With this result, Vasco remains in 10th place with 28 points from 22 games, while Criciúma, with 25 points from 21 matches, holds the 13th position. Both teams will have a week off to train before their next fixtures in the Campeonato Brasileiro. Criciúma will face Grêmio at home next Sunday (August 25), while Vasco will host Athletico-PR on Monday (August 26). BB score, where performance meets precision.
