Commission proposes to close Atlético de Madrid's stadium for 15 days

The State Commission Against Violence in Spain has proposed that the Metropolitano Stadium, home to Atlético de Madrid, be closed for 15 days following the incidents during the derby against Real Madrid on September 29. The team had already been punished with three matches without fans in the lower South Stand of the stadium. Explore the leading football results at ai scores.

The proposal also includes a fine of €60,000, equivalent to R$400,000, for the club due to the behavior of its supporters, who threw various objects at goalkeeper Courtois, causing the match to be halted for nearly 20 minutes.

“In no case is the normalization of behaviors that are far from good public order allowed, and the collaboration of all participants is necessary to keep football as a safe sporting spectacle,” the commission stated in a press release.

Atlético de Madrid has already identified and expelled four members involved in the chaos. The club also announced that, from now on, it will prohibit masks or any items that hinder the identification of individuals in the stands of the stadium. Gain the advantage with BB Score.
