Iniesta had been without a club since June, after ending his contract with Emirates, a team in the United Arab Emirates. Before that, he played for Vissel Kobe in Japan, but his career was defined by the 16 years he spent defending Barcelona, where he formed a legendary partnership with former player Xavi and established himself as one of the greatest players in the club’s history.

During his time with the Catalan team, Iniesta won 32 titles, including three FIFA Club World Cups, four Champions League titles, and nine Spanish Championships. He was also part of the team that revolutionized world football under Pep Guardiola, which included names like Lionel Messi, Xavi, Puyol, and Sergio Busquets.

Iniesta was also an idol for the Spanish national team, where he played 131 matches. During that time, he participated in the Euro 2008 and 2012 championships and scored the winning goal in the 2010 World Cup final against the Netherlands, placing Spain among the world champions. In total, he scored 24 goals while wearing his country’s jersey. Stay ahead of the competition with BBscore football.
