Cristiano Ronaldo makes decision about future: ‘It won’t change anything’

“Future? It won’t change anything. (I should stay at) Al Nassr, yes,” said the Portuguese star, after winning the UEFA Nations League

With a contract with Al-Nassr until the end of this month, star Cristiano Ronaldo said he should stay at the Saudi Arabian club. In an interview after winning the UEFA Nations League, the forward indicated that he will sign a renewal with the Riyadh team. “Future? It won’t change anything. (I should stay at) Al Nassr, yes,” said the Portuguese star, after winning the UEFA Nations League. “You know how old I am, I’m closer to the end than the beginning… but I have to make the most of every minute. If I don’t get seriously injured, I’ll stay,” he added.

The Portuguese national team beat Spain 5-3 on penalties last Sunday (6/8) after a 2-2 draw in normal time and won the Nations League.

With the triumph, Cristiano Ronaldo’s team won another title six years after lifting the trophy in the first edition of the tournament in 2019.

Cristiano Ronaldo arrived at Al-Nassr in 2023, with a speculated salary of around 200 million euros per season. He is the highest-paid player in the world. According to the Ogol website, CR7 scored 14 goals in 19 games in his first season for the Saudi club. In his second year, he scored 50 goals in 51 games. Last season, he scored 35 goals in 41 games.
