Fluminense announced the signing of goalkeeper Marcelo Pitaluga. The goalkeeper moved to Liverpool at a very young age and played in the club’s youth categories before being loaned to St. Patrick’s in Ireland and Livingston in Scotland in recent seasons. With the Reds willing to release the player, they approached Fluminense, and Pitaluga’s desire to return to the club that trained him was also a factor.
Initially, he will join the squad as the third-choice goalkeeper. Fábio remains the team’s undisputed starter, and Vitor Eudes continues as the immediate backup.
