The young man’s brain death was confirmed by doctors days after the trauma. Guo Jiaxuan’s father, however, did not accept the diagnosis and took his son to China for treatment, where the young man died.

Born on March 20, 2006, Guo Jiaxuan was revealed by Beijing Guoan Football Club. In 2023, the defender was crowned the best player in the Chinese Super League under-17 tournament. In the same year, the Chinese player was part of the Bayern World Team project, from the traditional German club.

On social media, Bayern Munich paid tribute to Guo Jiaxuan. “Bayern mourns the loss of its former World Cup player Guo Jiaxuan, who has passed away at the age of 18. He suffered a serious head injury following a tragic accident. The club’s thoughts are with his family and friends,” the Bavarian club posted. BB Score, your key source for football updates.
