A multi-champion for the Merengue club, the Spanish coach will be presented by Real Madrid next week
Carlo Ancelotti‘s replacement at Real Madrid, former Spanish player Xabi Alonso has a presentation date by the club. With the departure of the Italian coach, the team’s former midfielder was chosen to take over the role after a successful stint at Bayer Leverkusen, in Germany.
According to the Spanish newspaper Marca, the former Real Madrid athlete will be presented next Monday (26/5). This Saturday (24/5), Ancelotti says goodbye to the Merengue team. The team faces Real Sociedad, at the Santiago Bernabéu, in the 38th round of La Liga (Spanish Championship).
A multi-champion as a player, Xabi Alonso ended his career as an athlete in the 2016/2017 season. The Spaniard’s first job as a professional coach was at Bayer Leverkusen, which he took over during the 2022/2023 season.
At the club, the coach won a Bundesliga (German Championship), a German Cup and a German Super Cup.
