A report from a traditional US newspaper published this Saturday (4/19) what the Italian coach’s fate should be

Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti is likely to leave Real Madrid and would rather take over the Brazilian National Team, reported this Saturday (4/19) in the US newspaper The Athletic’s sports section. The coach has a contract with Real until mid-2026, but his future is uncertain amid the poor results this season.

The team was eliminated by Arsenal in the quarterfinals of the Champions League, will face Barcelona in the Copa del Rey final and is in second place in La Liga, seven points behind rival Barça, which has played one more game. Also according to the publication, Ancelotti has a number of options if he does not continue as Real’s coach – one of them is to remain at the club in another position. The preference, however, would be to take over the Brazilian National Team for the 2026 World Cup.

Ancelotti is the dream candidate of the president of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), Ednaldo Rodrigues, to replace the dismissed Dorival Júnior.

According to The Athletic, it is not yet known whether Ancelotti’s departure – possibly for the Brazilian National Team – will be before or after Real Madrid’s participation in the Club World Cup, to be held between June 14 and July 13. Ednaldo recently publicly promised that the National Team would already have a coach for the next FIFA Date, which will be in early June, before the World Cup.
