Barcelona has announced the signing of midfielder Dani Olmo. The 26-year-old Spanish player was with RB Leipzig in Germany and will cost the Catalan club €55 million, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.
This is not Olmo’s first stint at Barcelona; as a teenager, he played in the youth ranks of the club. However, he never appeared for the professional team and began his professional career with Dinamo Zagreb in Croatia.
Olmo played for the Croatians from 2014 until 2019, before transferring to RB Leipzig. During his time at the German club, he scored 29 goals and provided 31 assists over five seasons, winning two German Cup titles and one German Supercup.
