Guirassy scored twice in the first half to set Borussia Dortmund on course for victory against Monterrey
On Tuesday (1/6), in a match valid for the round of 16 of the Club World Cup, Borussia Dortmund faced Monterrey at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, won 2-1 and advanced to the next phase. Guirassy (2) scored for the German team, while Berterame scored for the Mexicans.
With the victory, Borussia Dortmund sealed its ticket to the quarterfinals of the tournament, in which it will face Real Madrid, who beat Juventus, at the Hard Rock Stadium.
On the other side, after being defeated, Sergio Ramos’ Monterrey said goodbye to the competition. The clash between Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid will take place next Saturday (5), starting at 5 pm (Brasília time), at the MetLife Stadium, in New Jersey.

Borussia Dortmund opened the scoring 12 minutes into the first half. After receiving a long ball down the right wing, Adeyemi beat his marker with speed and crossed to Guirassy, who finished first time to score. In the 22nd minute of the first half, Borussia Dortmund increased the lead, again with Guirassy.
After exchanging passes with Adeyemi at the edge of the area, the Guinean striker received the ball unmarked and, face to face with goalkeeper Andrada, finished with a shot to shake the net. Monterrey scored the equalizer two minutes into the second half, when Berterame took advantage of a cross from Corona on the left, got ahead of his marker in the area and deflected the ball.
