International media outlet criticized Brazilian striker Vitor Roque’s performance at Palmeiras and highlighted the fans’ dissatisfaction

A product of Cruzeiro’s youth system, Palmeiras striker Vitor Roque was criticized by a Spanish newspaper for his performance at the Club World Cup. The number 9 played for Barcelona e Betis, both in Spain, before being bought by the São Paulo club for 25 million euros (around R$152 million) in February of this year.

The Brazilian has played 21 matches for the São Paulo team, scoring three goals. Spanish newspaper As criticized the player’s performances since arriving at Palmeiras and categorized the player’s situation as ‘no solution’.

“Everyone knows that Vitor Roque is not going through his best moment. The ‘Tigrinho’ has not lived up to expectations since his arrival at Palmeiras in February. His performance is worrying Verdão fans, but the club asks for patience with the player,” he wrote.

“Timóteo (Vitor Roque) is going through a delicate sporting crisis. The Club World Cup left more doubts than certainties regarding the striker, especially among Palmeiras fans,” he added.

Vitor Roque made his professional debut in 2021, for Cruzeiro. Wearing the blue jersey, he played in 16 matches and scored on five occasions.
