Forward Pedro was cleared to return to training with Flamengo’s squad this Monday (31/3). The player participated in the activity normally at Ninho do Urubu and may soon join Filipe Luís’ team. On social media, the 27-year-old celebrated his return to training with the rest of his teammates.
“Back! I missed being with everyone. I can only thank God,” he posted on Instagram. Pedro has been away from the pitch since September 2024, when he suffered a serious injury to his left knee during training with the Brazilian National Team.

His last match was against Corinthians, on September 1, 2024, with a penalty goal. Filipe Luís confirmed last Saturday that Pedro is expected to return in April. The return brings relief and hope to the team, which felt the absence of the goalscorer in the 1-1 draw with Internacional, at Maracanã, in the debut of the Brazilian Championship.
“Yes, we are counting on Pedro in April. If nothing happens unexpectedly, because he is in the final phase of his recovery. We hope to have Pedro on the field in April”, said the coach.
Flamengo’s next match is this Thursday (3/4), at 9:30 pm, when it debuts in the group stage of the Libertadores against Deportivo Táchira, from Venezuela, away from home.
