Inter de Milão beat Bayern Munich in the first game of the Liga dos Campeões quarterfinals, this Tuesday (4/8). At the Allianz Arena, coach Simone Inzaghi’s team secured a 2-1 victory, with an assist from Brazilian Carlos Augusto for the Italians’ second goal.
Lautaro Martínez and Frattesi scored for Inter, while Thomas Muller scored for the Germans. With the result, Inter Milan has the advantage in the dispute for a place in the semifinals of the continental tournament. The second game is scheduled for next Wednesday (4/16), at the San Siro Stadium.
However, both teams still play this Saturday in their respective national competitions. Bayern Munich hosts Borussia Dortmund, in the 29th round of the German Championship. Inter Milan will face Cagliari in the 32nd round of the Italian Championship.
