Two of the three games played on Tuesday (6/17) had the lowest attendance figures of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. The poor numbers were recorded in River Plate’s 3-1 victory over Urawa Reds, in Group E, and in Mamelodi Sundowns‘ 1-0 triumph over Ulsan Hyundai, in a Group F match.
The Argentines played at Lumen Field in Seattle. The stadium has a capacity for 69,000 fans, but only 11,974 were present to watch the match. The attendance was even lower at Inter&CO Stadium in Orlando, where Sundowns beat Ulsan. With a capacity for 25,500 people, the stadium only received 3,412 fans.
The other match of the day, the 0-0 draw between Fluminense and Borussia Dortmund, had a better crowd, but still far from full capacity. At Metlife Stadium in New Jersey, 34,736 people watched the duel between the Brazilians and the Germans – the stadium has a capacity of 82,500.
