Doctor Samir Xaud is 41 years old and has been president of the CBF since May; he was the target of a search and seizure by the Federal Police
Samir Xaud, president of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), is one of those investigated in Operation Black Box, conducted by the Federal Police (PF) to investigate suspected electoral crime in Roraima.
This information comes from the website ge. The CBF director was the target of a search and seizure at his residence and at the organization’s headquarters in Rio de Janeiro this Wednesday (July 30th).
Search and seizure warrants were also served against federal deputy Helena da Asatur (MDB) and her husband, businessman Renildo Lima. According to the ge report, R$10 million was also frozen in the bank accounts of the suspects.
The Federal Police operation seeks to determine whether vote-buying occurred in the 2024 municipal elections in Roraima. The investigation began with the arrest of Renildo Lima in September of that year. R$500,000 was found on him—some of which was hidden in the businessman’s underwear.
