
Inter Milan beat River Plate with an extra player and secured leadership of Group E of the Club World Cup
In the last round of Group E of the Club World Cup, Inter de Milão beat River Plate 2-0 at Lumen Field on Wednesday (26/6). Esposito e Bastoni scored the goals in the match. With the result, the Italian team will face Fluminense in the round of 16 of the tournament, while the Argentine team says goodbye to the tournament.
With the result, Group E ended with Inter Milan in the lead, with seven points, followed by Monterrey, with six. The eliminated River Plate (3rd) and Urawa Red Diamonds (4th) finished with four goals and zero, respectively.
