Tricolor is looking for a replacement for forward Calleri, who is recovering from a serious knee injury and will only return to play in 2026
Cruzeiro is negotiating the loan of forward Dinenno to São Paulo until the end of the year. The negotiations progressed over the weekend and may be finalized in the next few days. The information was released by the website Central da Toca and confirmed by No Ataque with a source involved in the negotiations. São Paulo is looking for a replacement for forward Calleri, who is recovering from a serious knee injury and will only return to play in 2026.
Replacements André Silva and Ryan Francisco have not yet convinced São Paulo coach Luis Zubeldía, who is talking to the board in search of reinforcements. Dinenno has had little space at Cruzeiro since returning from injury. This year, the forward has played five games and played for 88 minutes. He has not started in any of the matches he has played in.
Cruzeiro’s starting center forward is Kaio Jorge, while the immediate reserve is Gabigol, who also played in other attacking positions when he was given chances as a starter. Jardim also gave Lautaro Díaz and Yannick Bolasie more chances in the sector.
Dinenno suffered from multiple injuries last year. The Argentine center forward suffered edema in his left thigh, fractured facial bones and underwent surgery on his pubis. The biggest physical issue, however, was the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee. The Raposa has a contract with Dinenno until December 2026. The forward arrived at Cruzeiro at the beginning of last season, coming from Pumas, in Mexico, for around R$3.4 million.
