Bayern Munich has threatened to take legal action against the Canadian Football Association after the serious injury to its left-back Alphonso Davies in a match for the national team, the club\u2019s chairman of the board, Jan-Christian Dreesen, said on Friday (28\/3). The German club is demanding from Canada Soccer \u201ca full clarification of the events\u201d and \u201creserves the right to take legal action\u201d after the player ruptured the cruciate ligaments in his right knee, the chief told the Bild newspaper website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSending a clearly injured player with an injured knee on a 12-hour intercontinental flight without a full medical examination is, in our opinion, gross negligence and a clear breach of duty to provide medical care,\u201d Dreesen added.
