While on vacation in his home country, the Inter Miami player, alongside his wife, helped calm a man who was threatening to hang himself with a rope unless his partner appeared. The situation began around 11pm last Friday, the 3rd, and lasted for more than 20 hours, until around 5:30pm on Saturday. According to the Uruguayan police, the man climbed a tree about six meters high and threatened to kill himself, stating that he would only leave when his partner appeared. Rescuers noticed that he was not armed, but that he had a rope wrapped around his neck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the hours passed, the situation began to attract the attention of onlookers and grew in intensity. This is where Su\u00e1rez stepped in. The striker has a house nearby and was passing by with his wife when he saw the situation. With the help of a Non-Governmental Organization specializing in social psychology, the striker spoke with the man\u2014who is accused of domestic violence and is under precautionary measures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Su\u00e1rez arrived, and at that moment, what we did was try to talk to him in a close and empathetic way so that the man wouldn\u2019t stay up there any longer.
