The match began with Colombia taking an early lead through Maya Ramírez. The Colombians held their advantage until halftime, withstanding constant pressure from the Spanish side. Early in the second half, Leicy Santos doubled Colombia’s lead, but Spain responded with a goal from Jenni Hermoso, reducing the deficit in the 30th minute.
