Spanish defender Raul Asencio, Real Madrid defender, defended himself this Thursday (15/5) against accusations of child pornography attributed to him. Through an official note on Instagram, the player stated that he did not violate the sexual freedom of any woman.
“I did not participate in any conduct that violates the sexual freedom of any woman, much less minors. This is confirmed by the decision handed down by the aforementioned judge, who does not attribute to me any sexual relationship with the two women involved, nor the recording of them, with or without their consent. Likewise, the court decision clarifies that I was not the one who sent any intimate images or videos of the content in question to third parties, which, I reiterate, were not recorded by me in the first place.”
The defender then stressed that, for now, the accusation is not definitive and, therefore, the presumption of innocence must prevail. “The accusation made against me, as expressly stated in the judicial resolution itself, is strictly provisional in nature. Therefore, the presumption of innocence must prevail.
If the accusation is formalized and the oral trial is opened, I will continue to exercise my defense before the Judges and Courts, in whom I have full confidence, reaffirming my repudiation of any criminal conduct”, added the defender.
Asencio is being tried for allegedly recording and distributing a sexual video of two girls, one of whom was a minor. The Investigating Court No. 3 of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, on the island of Gran Canaria, Spain, was the one that issued the indictment against the player, in an investigation that began in 2023. In addition to Asencio, three other former teammates of the athlete are involved in the case: Andrés García, Ferrán Ruiz and Juan Rodríguez. The four are being accused of allegedly recording and subsequently distributing sexually explicit material with two women, one of whom was a minor, without their permission.
According to the analysis of the investigating judge, the facts may fall under several criminal types. Evidence was identified of crimes related to invasion of privacy and obtaining images without consent, as well as the unauthorized distribution of the recorded content.

“I did not participate in any conduct that violates the sexual freedom of any woman, much less minors. This is confirmed by the ruling issued by the aforementioned Judge, who does not attribute to me any sexual relationship with the two women involved, nor the recording of them, with or without their consent. Likewise, the court ruling clarifies that I was not the one who sent any intimate images or videos of the content in question to third parties, which, I reiterate, were not recorded by me in the first place. The court ruling, as far as I am concerned, limits its content to the momentary viewing of some images by third parties, without attributing to me any participation in their recording or dissemination. The accusation made against me, as expressly stated in the court ruling itself, is strictly provisional in nature. Therefore, the presumption of innocence must prevail. If the complaint is formalized and the oral trial is opened, I will continue to exercise my defense before the Judges and Courts, in whom I have full confidence, reaffirming my repudiation of any criminal conduct. Everything This is without prejudice to the utmost respect I deserve for the development of the judicial process as a whole, as well as for the other people under investigation. I wish to reiterate, once again, my absolute respect for the rights to sexual freedom and privacy of all women.”
