Arsenal, Newcastle, Manchester City, Chelsea, Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest are dreaming of four Champions League spots in the Premier League

The penultimate round of the 英超联赛积分榜 starts this Friday (16/5), and six teams are still competing for four Champions League spots in the last two rounds. The only Premier League team that is guaranteed to be in the next edition of the Champions League is Liverpool. The team, which was crowned champion on April 27, with four rounds to spare, has 83 points and has already secured its spot in search of another European title – it is a six-time champion.
Therefore, in addition to the Reds, four clubs will go to the Champions League. Normally, English football has four spots, but the fifth “passport” to the Champions League was won thanks to the good performance of the country’s clubs in European competitions in the 2024/25 season.
Interestingly, apart from the teams that are between second and seventh place in the Premier League, an English club will be the sixth placed. Manchester United and Tottenham will decide the Europa League on May 21, Wednesday, at 4 pm, and the champion will play in the Champions League next season.
