Midfielder Kevin Serna will be missing from Fluminense’s match today (October 10) against Vasco in the 22nd round of the Brazilian Championship at Nilton Santos Stadium. The player experienced discomfort in his calves after a training session at the Carlos Castilho Training Center.
Although tests did not reveal an injury, the decision by the medical team and coaching staff was to rest the player to prevent any potential worsening. It is expected that Serna will return for the match against Grêmio next Tuesday, in the round of 16 of the Copa Libertadores.
In Serna’s absence from the starting lineup, coach Mano Menezes may consider two options: the inclusion of Keno or a formation with three defensive midfielders.
Kevin Serna, originally from Colombia, joined Fluminense this year and has played five matches without scoring and with one assist. Fluminense is currently in 17th place in the Brazilian Championship, sitting as the first team in the relegation zone. BB score, never miss a game again!
