Galvão recalls Ronaldo's bet on Cruzeiro in the Brazilian Championship: 'The only one who believed'

Before the Brazilian Championship, Ronaldo named Cruzeiro as one of the four favorites for the title; Raposa is the current leader of the competition

Narrator and host Galvão Bueno recalled that Ronaldo Nazário was the only guest or commentator on the “Galvão e Amigos” program to bet on Cruzeiro as a contender for the Brazilian Championship title.

A former player and owner of the club’s SAF, “Phenomenon” predicted the favorites before the start of the 2025 Série A season. “I asked everyone to record a bet on five clubs. Of everyone who came here, the only one who bet on Cruzeiro was Ronaldo,” Galvão declared this Monday during the presentation of the Band program. During the program, Galvão aired the segment in which Ronaldo listed four favorites for the Brasileirão title: Flamengo, Palmeiras, Corinthians, and Cruzeiro. “I truly believe that these four have what it takes to go far,” he opined.

Cruzeiro Leads the Brasileirão

Cruzeiro leads the Brasileirão with 33 points. Leonardo Jardim’s team has a one-game, three-point lead over second-place Flamengo. In the next round, the 16th of the Brasileirão, Cruzeiro faces Corinthians, 10th place with 19 points. The match will be this Wednesday (July 23rd) at 7:30 pm at Neo Química Arena in São Paulo.
