Coach Jorge Jesus will be the new manager of Saudi Arabia’s Al-Nassr. The information was released by the Portuguese newspaper A Bola. The Portuguese coach signed a one-year contract with the team of star player Cristiano Ronaldo.
The coach had been without a club since early May 2025, when he was fired by Al-Hilal following their elimination from the Asian Champions League. Al-Nassr fired Italian coach Stefano Pioli at the end of June this year.
According to the Saudi Arabian newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat, the club offered Jorge Jesus an annual salary of seven million dollars (R$37.9 million at the current exchange rate).
Jorge Jesus’ Career
Jorge Jesus spent most of his career in Portuguese football. In the country, he managed Benfica, Braga, Sporting, and others. In 2019, he signed with Flamengo and won multiple titles with the Rubro-Negro. The following year, he returned to Portugal. After two seasons with Benfica, he joined Fenerbahçe in Turkey. He stayed only one season at the club and signed with Al-Hilal, where he has managed since 2023/2024.
