The projection from the Mathematics Department of the Federal University of Minas Gerais indicates that Flamengo has a 33.3% chance of lifting the trophy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even though Flamengo<\/strong> still trails Cruzeiro<\/strong> in terms of the Brazilian title, it is now the favorite to win the S\u00e9rie A, according to the Mathematics Department of the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flamengo, currently second in the national competition, came from behind to beat Bragantino 2-1 this Wednesday (July 23rd) at the C\u00edcero de Souza Marques Stadium in Bragan\u00e7a Paulista. With the result, the Rio de Janeiro team reached 33 points in 15 games, with a 73% success rate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

UFMG’s projection gives Flamengo a 33.3% chance of lifting the trophy. Cruzeiro, in turn, saw its chances drop to 26.7%. Right behind them is Palmeiras, with 19.5%. Cruzeiro leads the Brasileir\u00e3o with 34 points from 16 games \u2013 a 70% success rate. “Raposa” drew 0-0 with Corinthians at Neo Qu\u00edmica Arena in S\u00e3o Paulo in the 16th round of the Brazilian Championship. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another team in contention is Palmeiras, who came from behind to beat Fluminense 2-1 at Maracan\u00e3. Cruzeiro had the “help” of goalkeeper F\u00e1bio, who made a mistake on Maur\u00edcio’s goal. Vitor Roque scored the second for the S\u00e3o Paulo team, while Cano scored the only goal for the Tricolor. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
