In the almost two-minute piece, Globo hilariously portrays the Brazilian clubs participating in the competition: <strong>Flamengo<\/strong>, <strong>Botafogo<\/strong>, <strong>Fluminense <\/strong>e <strong>Palmeiras<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The broadcaster also joked about the fact that Vasco is the only major Rio de Janeiro team not competing. In one scene, a navigator says he is on his way to the United States to watch Cruz-Maltino in the Club World Cup. A crew member clarifies that the team from S\u00e3o Janu\u00e1rio is not in the tournament. \u201cYou\u2019re going to break me,\u201d the navigator replied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The competition has a format similar to the last editions of the World Cup, with 32 teams divided into eight groups of four teams. The teams face each opponent in the group once.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The top two teams in each group advance to the knockout stage. From there, the round of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals are played, all in a single game, with extra time in the event of a tie and, if the tie persists, a penalty shootout. There will be no third-place play-off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The brackets were determined by drawing lots before the start of the World Cup. The team that finishes in first place in Group A will face the second-place team in Group B and vice versa.
