It could have had serious consequences, but fortunately it didn\u2019t,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Previously, the Montpellier prosecutor\u2019s office had reported that the case was being treated as a suicide attempt, which caused great repercussion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Congr\u00e9 expressed surprise at the media attention. \u201cI never imagined that this incident would attract so much attention \u2013 firstly about my health and then from the media. This episode will soon become just a distant and unpleasant memory for me and my loved ones,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Daniel Congr\u00e9 is expected to be discharged in the coming days to continue his recovery at home.
