Portuguese player Nani, former Manchester United and Portuguese National Team star, announced today (August 1) his return to the Portuguese top division, where he will play next season for Estrela Amadora. Last year, the 37-year-old player was with Adana Demirspor in Turkey.

Last season, Estrela Amadora finished in 14th place out of 18 teams, with 33 points—just one point above the relegation zone. Meanwhile, Nani’s team, Adana Demirspor, ended up in 12th place in the Turkish league.

The Portuguese athlete also scored four goals and provided three assists in the 34 matches he played in the Turkish league. This will mark Nani’s return to the Portuguese league after his stint with Sporting in the 2018/2019 season.

Nani’s career includes notable spells with traditional European clubs. In addition to Manchester United and Sporting, he has also played for Lazio, Valencia, and Fenerbahçe.
